Residency at Western Montana Fair

I am so psyched to announce that I have been invited to be an artist-in-residence at the Western Montana Fair by Open AIR Montana. I absolutely LOVE going to community events & rituals because I love to see people celebrating each other and strutting their stuff. There is a collective community pride that exists in a unique way at a county or state fair. It is one of the main community rituals I experienced and participated in growing up in a small ag-based town. Also, there is always unparalleled people watching available at a fair which is definitely a core ingredient of my artistic practice.

I will be traveling to Missoula, MT in August and setting up a temporary studio at the fairgrounds along with many other artists who practice in a wide array of artistic and creative disciplines. To learn more about the other artists participating you can find a list HERE.
